Consider Slice the Seamless of pizza. Their marketplace is home to 19,000 independent pizzerias across America. They help pizza lovers find local favorites, while supporting small shops.

From 2019 to 2021, I lead copy across Slice channels. I established their brand voice and delivered on it, down to the sponsored pizza box. Thanks to this brand building, investors began to notice Slice. The startup went on to raise 40 million in one round of funding in 2020.

THE NORTH POLE PIZZA

During slow pizza seasons, Slice and partner shops created newsworthy pizzas. One of my favorites: the Buddy the Elf-inspired North Pole Pizza. The pie made the rounds on #Pizzagram, while outlets like North Jersey Eats and iHeart picked up the story. Seventy-five pies were made available only to order on the Slice App.
